Scaffidi Group is looking for a motivated Buying Assistant to join our Buying & Planning team on a Full-Time basis. This is an exciting opportunity for someone who enjoys working with data, solving problems, and supporting decision-making while developing a buying career within one of Australia's leading pharmacy groups.

Working alongside our experienced Buying and Planning team, you'll play a key role in supporting the day-to-day operations of our buying function. From maintaining product information and preparing reports and analysis to coordinating supplier administration, you'll help keep everything running smoothly while gaining valuable hands-on experience. You will gain exposure to category management, forecasting, promotions, inventory planning, and supplier relationships, providing an excellent foundation for future career progression.

Key Responsibilities:

• Support Buyers with the day-to-day administration of product categories.
• Maintain product information, pricing, supplier records, and promotional data across internal systems.
• Assist with stock management, replenishment orders & allocations, along with inventory reporting to optimise product availability.
• Coordinate supplier documentation, product setup, and catalogue maintenance.
• Support promotional planning and execution by ensuring product and pricing information is up to date and accurate.
• Work collaboratively with Buying, Planning, Marketing, Retail, and Pharmacy teams to support commercial initiatives.
• Assist with range reviews, product launches, and ongoing category projects.
• Contribute to process improvements that enhance team efficiency and data accuracy.

About You:

You are a detail-oriented and analytical individual who enjoys working with numbers and takes pride in producing accurate, high-quality work. You're eager to learn, thrive in a fast-paced environment, and are looking to build a long-term career in buying and category management.

Ideally you will bring:

• Previous experience in an administrative, buying support, merchandise planning, retail, or data analysis role.
• Strong analytical skills with confidence interpreting sales and inventory data.
• Advanced Microsoft Excel skills and strong computer literacy.
• Excellent organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines.
• High attention to detail and accuracy.
• Strong communication skills and the ability to build positive working relationships across teams.
• A proactive attitude with a willingness to learn and develop.
• Tertiary qualifications (or currently studying) in Business, Commerce, Supply Chain, Marketing, Analytics, or a related discipline will be highly regarded but are not essential.
