An exciting opportunity exists for an experienced and motivated Regional Pharmacist Manager to join our leadership team. Reporting to the Chief Executive Officer (CEO), this senior role is responsible for overseeing a portfolio of pharmacies within an allocated region, ensuring dispensaries operate safely, efficiently, compliantly, and profitably while supporting business growth and exceptional patient care.

 

As a key leader within the organisation, you will partner with Pharmacy Owners and Pharmacist Managers to drive operational excellence, strengthen clinical governance, develop high-performing teams, and identify opportunities to expand pharmacy services and improve business performance.

 

Key Responsibilities:

 

As the Regional Pharmacist Manager, you will provide leadership, operational oversight, and professional support across a network of pharmacies, ensuring compliance with legislative, accreditation, and organisational standards while driving service excellence, business performance, and exceptional patient care.

 

Working closely with Pharmacy Owners, Pharmacist Managers, and Support Office teams, you will lead clinical governance and compliance activities, support dispensary operations, and drive the growth of professional pharmacy services. You will identify opportunities to enhance patient outcomes, improve operational effectiveness, and support sustainable business growth across the region.

 

A key aspect of the role is developing high-performing pharmacy teams through coaching, mentoring, workforce planning, recruitment support, and succession development. You will also monitor pharmacy performance, support prescription growth and patient retention initiatives, oversee inventory and operational processes, and ensure continuous improvement across all areas of the business.

 

Key responsibilities include but are not limited to:

  • Leading pharmacy compliance, accreditation, and risk management activities.
  • Supporting the growth and delivery of professional pharmacy services.
  • Driving operational performance, prescription growth, and patient retention.
  • Providing leadership, coaching, and development for pharmacy teams.
  • Supporting workforce planning, recruitment, and succession initiatives.
  • Building strong stakeholder relationships and providing strategic operational support.
  • Monitoring performance metrics and implementing continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Maintaining QCPP/QSPP accreditation standards across all pharmacies.
  • Identifying service opportunities that meet community healthcare needs.
  • Overseeing Schedule 8 register compliance and regulatory requirements.

Travel Requirements:

This role involves frequent regional and metro travel to support stores across the network (car allowance, phone and laptop provided). Regular site visits will be required on a rotating 6–8-week schedule.

 

About You:

You will be an experienced and commercially minded pharmacy professional with a passion for leadership, service excellence, and business growth. You will have a proven ability to support multiple pharmacy locations while balancing operational performance, compliance requirements, and people leadership.

 

You will bring:

  • Current registration as a Pharmacist with AHPRA.
  • Significant experience in pharmacy operations and multi-site management.
  • Strong knowledge of CPA programs, DAAs, pharmacy compliance, and professional services.
  • Demonstrated experience managing business performance, budgets, and KPIs.
  • Exceptional leadership, coaching, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
  • Strong analytical, organisational, and problem-solving capabilities.
  • Flexibility to travel regularly within the allocated region.
