We are seeking an experienced IT Manager to lead our technology operations and support our organisation as we continue to grow and innovate.

About the Role

 

Reporting directly to the Executive General Manager - Operations, the IT Manager will oversee all aspects of our business IT, communication networks, systems, and support services, both at head office and across our pharmacies nationwide.

 

This role works closely with stakeholders throughout the organisation and includes direct leadership of an IT Supervisor, as well as coordination with external IT partners, to ensure our technology environment remains secure, efficient, and aligned with our strategic objectives. This is a hands-on leadership role suited to someone who enjoys both strategy and day-to-day operational management.

 

 

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead the end-to-end management of our technology environment, including the deployment, monitoring, maintenance, upgrades and support of all IT systems such as websites PCs, operating systems, data bases, telephones, and software applications.
  • Identify, troubleshoot, and resolve issues across network infrastructure, hardware, operating systems, business software, and productivity applications.
  • Develop and implement continuous service improvement plans across multiple applications and platforms to ensure they meet evolving business needs.
  • Define, plan, and manage project initiatives, including scope development, methodology, facilitation, and resource coordination.
  • Oversee vendor relationships and manage contracts for core business systems, including POS, finance, HR, marketing, operations, and communications platforms.
  • Travel within the state and interstate as required to support pharmacy locations and deliver project outcomes.

 

About you

 

You’re an adaptable IT leader who thrives in a fast-paced, people-focused environment and moves seamlessly between strategy and hands-on technical support. The ideal candidate will have:

 

  • Tertiary degree in IT, business or related disciplines.
  • Significant knowledge and experience (5+ years) in managing IT teams and leading technology initiatives.
  • Strong knowledge of network administration, cloud technologies, and information security.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills with a proactive and solution-focused approach.
  • Strong communication and stakeholder engagement skills.
  • Previous experience in retail, pharmacy, logistics or supply chain environments (preferred but not essential)
